About Debbie

Debbie has lived in Chalford since 2004, when she moved from Hertfordshire with her daughter Samantha and her husband Rob.
She has always been interested in politics and studied Politics and Japanese at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, where she also met her husband
Debbie was first elected as a Conservative Councillor for Chalford in 2008, following a period as a Parish Councillor. From 2010 she served as Cabinet Member for Housing, during this time she dealt with the problems of the Woolaways houses and took housing into self financing, which means all rents paid by tenants are retained by the Council. Debbie was re-elected in 2012, and following the change in the Administration chaired the Strategic Overview and Scrutiny Committee. She now sits on Housing Committee and Strategy and Resources
