Debbie said "We do need houses, but it is about where they are built and they need to be built with the consent of the existing population.If this doesn;t happen we will not have united communities" Debbie has been supportive of this campaign and others to halt unwanted development.
Debbie also delivered leaflets from Neil Carmichael MP emphasizing his support for their campaign. There is to be an exhibition of the plans for Rodborough Fields at the Imperial Hotel on the 29th January from 3.30 until 7pm. Local people will be able to make their comments on the proposed development and Debbie will be there to support those opposed to the housing proposals, Please come and join her and others to ensure local views are represented.
Their incredibly well qualified staff, mean that emergency treatment can be flown in, and deal with the situation saving valuable time in the Golden Hour. The Golden Hour is the time in which a seriously injured person is most likely to have their life saved. GWAAC are currently raising funds to have a new helicopter, so any loose change would be gratefully received in the collecting boxes all over Stroud
Having spoken to Will Windsor Clive the responsible Cabinet Member for the County Council, she had been promised matched funding to ensure scenes like this would not happen again. Her ammendment was defeated.
Debbie said 'I felt this was a far better use of the money and I worked hard to get matched funding. I am disappointed that I cannot give better news to the people of Chalford and Stroud who were flooded last year'
" I was invited to the opening under the new contractors in 2010 and what a change" Debbie said " I am so pleased to have been part of the process and deliver my promise of 4 years ago" she continued
