Next week Stroud District Council is expected to make a decision on new waste collection. The main changes are itemised below
Weekly food collection in caddies supplied by SDC free of charge Fortnightly collection of residual black bag waste Change in collection routes Opt in garden collection rather than green bags at a cost of £36 per annum and will now go for recycling rather than landfill Bulky waste charge of £15 for up to three items of chairs,large electricals etc, this is currently unlimited and free. What do you think, please let me know if this affects you Debbie went to Conservative Party Conference from the 27th September until 1st October. what did she do whilst she was there. Firstly she went to many meetings about Housing where it became evident that the need for new housing amounted to needing 200,000 -300,000 new properties every year. She spoke with Brandon Lewis, the Housing Minister about the important of Council Housing in delivering some of this number.
Debbie also visited the Canals and Rivers Trust stand to discuss water safety and what the Trust can do to help children realise the joys and dangers of our waterways. She took a pack back to Severn View Academy where her daughter goes to school, for them to have a water assembly Furthermore Debbie visited many exhibitors who are seeking support for the British Government and people to ensure their autonomy. She was delighted to offer her support to Gibraltar, The Falklands and the people of Ukraine in their battles to maintain their freedom. |
